The latest details and possible spoilers for "Supergirl" season 2 will feature the return of the Dominators, Mon-El's secret and Neil Patrick Harris reprising his role as Music Meister.

"How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris discuss his potential return to the role of Music Meister in the second "Supergirl" and "The Flash" crossover, which is hinted to be a musical themed episodes. Harris told IGN that he has heard about the TV crossover episode, but has not yet officially been contacted by CW Network regarding his involvement in the episode.

Music Meister appeared as an original villain in the animated TV series "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" and Harris provided the voice of the character. A small update was made on the two-part musical episode has been given since showrunner Greg Berlanti revealed last September thatt they would be discussing the show's music.

Berlanti did reveal at the time that they had spoken to a potential songwriter who would join the production to pen original songs for the episodes, but no official announcement has since arrived.

"The Flash" and "Supergirl" musical crossover is expected to air sometime in February 2017 and, as such, will likely film at some point in January.

Meanwhile, co-producer Andrew Kreisberg teased that the Domininators will be returning in the second haft of "Supergirl" season 2.

The Dominators are the main antagonist of the the four-night crossover event involving the "Arrowverse" TV series such as "Supergirl", "The Flash", "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow". Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) recruited several heroes such as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh) and many more to fight them, even travelling to Kara Danvers/Supergirl's (Melissa Benoist) earth just to let her know.

Kara mentioned before that the Dominators once invaded Krypton and it seems that they will likely return at some point in "Supergirl" season 2.

Lastly, Kreisberg teased a big secret involving season 2 recurring character Mon-El (Chris Wood) in the second haft of "Supergirl" season 2.

Kreisberg hinted that Mon-El is holding something back and it will likely be unhealthy in his relationship with his new friends especially on Kara, who he has feelings for. Viewers got a little taste of what Mon-El's life on Daxam and it might not be as over as the glimpse of the space farers, who are on the hunt for him, Heroic Hollywood reported.

"Supergirl" season 2 returns on Jan. 23, 2017 8PM EST on the CW Network.
