Nam Tae Hyun seems to have taken up DJing after leaving the boy band WINNER. The idol made his first public appearance since the departure as he spun some tunes for an hour at a club in Seoul's Gangnam district on Dec. 16, Friday.

Several fans that learned of Nam's appearance at the nightclub through the grapevine, lined up outside the establishment to catch a glimpse of the singer. Reports claim the artist did not interact with fans but greeted some of his friends before getting up on the stage to perform his set.

Once he was on stage, the singer appeared to be in good spirits as he welcomed the crowd before cuing up the music. A picture of him from the DJ console was shared on social media.

"He looked really healthy," a source told Naver referring to the singer. "He had a bright smile on the entire time he was on stage. He acted so composed on stage that he looked like a veteran DJ."

Nam had taken a hiatus from WINNER due to health problems. The artist had been suffering from mental health issues since his days as a trainee, but the condition had worsened over the past few months.

On Nov. 25, YG Entertainment announced via an official statement obtained by the same publication that they will not be renewing Nam's contract and he will be leaving WINNER. The label said that it would be difficult for him to carry on as a member of the group due to his health issues and WINNER will continue as a four-member group.

It was recently confirmed that WINNER is working on a new album and will be making a comeback early next year. Their last release was the mini-album, "Exit: E," which includes tracks like "Baby Baby" and "Sentimental."
