"Game of Thrones" Season 6 finally saw Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) get a taste of vengeance when she and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) managed to defeat Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) and take back Winterfell. Turner now reveals that this may be the first step Sansa takes to cross over to the dark side.

The actress recently explained in an interview with Vulture that Sansa may be hungry for more power following the events of Season 6. Sansa played a crucial role in winning Winterfell back but was denied recognition and the glory was instead handed to Jon Snow, who was also named King of the North.

Since her accomplishment and power was taken away from her, Turner teases that Sansa may potentially reconsider Petyr Baelish's offer. This offer entailed Baelish rising to the Iron Throne with Sansa sitting alongside him as his Queen but Sansa initially turned it down.

Ramsay's death also gave a hint of Sansa's potential lust for power, the actress continued to explain. She stated that the biggest hint was when Sansa turned and smiled while Ramsay was being eaten alive by his own hounds.

"That's also quite interesting," Turner told the publication regarding that pivotal smile. "You wonder if it's just a smile because it's her first kill, because this man is out of her life, or whether she's going to get a taste for it. Whether she enjoyed it. Whether it's a power trip."

The actress further stated that Sansa's descent to the dark side already began in the Eyrie when the character first decided to wear black. Sansa will reportedly be truly playing "the game of thrones" in Season 7 instead of being another bystander or victim.

According to a report from Bustle, Sansa is likely to take her step into darkness in a manner similar to Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) instead of how Ramsay deals with his enemies. Cersei is more calculative and takes her vengeance in non-direct methods, either by using other men, spies or political ventures.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres in Summer 2017.
