Luca Todesco iOS 10 Jailbreak Release Happening Soon but Downgrading to v. 10.1.1 from 10.2 Required – Here’s How

It's highly likely that there will be no iOS 10 jailbreak release coming from Team Pangu or TaiG as the latest update from the jailbreak scene indicates that it is Luca Todesco who will provide the next JB tool. It is not a question of how but when exactly the jailbreak release date is happening.

Last week, Todesco announced in a Twitter post that "there is a high chance I will take up whatever project 0 drops and write a full jailbreak on top of it." The dev, according to WCCFTech, refers to the Google Project Zero report that detected a possible root exploit on iOS 10, specifically on version 10.1.1.

"Ian Beer details the description of the iOS vulnerability ... It guides users in getting the root access on an iPad mini 2 and iPod Touch running iOS 10.1.1. Hence, it is seen that getting root access on iOS 10.1.1 is possible to achieve," the report said.

As expected, creating a JB tool on the opening discussed by Beer will require technical expertise and thankfully Todesco picked up on the discovery made by his co-developer in Beer and confirmed that a jailbreak is indeed possible. In fact, the report is in synch with Todesco's earlier assertion that for an iOS 10 jailbreak to work one has to focus on prying open version 10.1.1 of the mobile operating system.

Todesco is convinced that in terms of jailbreak possibility, the latest update or iOS 10.2 is a touch nut to crack. It is 10.1.1 that is more jailbreak-ready and the Beer report seems to affirm Todesco's take on the matter.

And in his latest Twitter post, Todesco confirmed that the chance is higher of getting the next jailbreak, likely coming from him, if one will stay on iOS 10.1.1 and this is especially true with owners of both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

So those who made the jump to 10.2 and wish to access the next jailbreak release, now is the time to downgrade and move back to 10.1.1. According to iDownloadBlog.com, time is fast running out as the window to roll back from 10.2 will be closed soon. Apple is expected to stop signing iOS 10.1.1 on December 19 and by then the regular channel to downgrade will be no more, the report added.
