AMD Ryzen CPU discussions are now being reported online. Although some of the relevant details have already been revealed, other important details are still being speculated up to now including release month and potential price of AMD's Zen based processor architecture.
The revelation of some of the specs of the upcoming AMD Ryzen processor during the recently concluded New Horizon event last week made huge noise online. The 8-core, 16-Thread, and reportedly 3.4 clock speed of the Zen architecture has attracted massive audiences and gain positive response from consumers and enthusiasts hours after the presentation. Thus, hinting a possible huge consumer shift, from Intel to AMD, come its potential release this March 2017, according to PC Gamers.
It has been reported by PC Gamers, that AMD will likely release its Ryzen processor in the last month of the targeted Q1 2017 release of AMD. According to the report, if January would be chosen date, then "AMD would be saying as much." Thus, making the month of March a more plausible release period. Moreover, alternate scenarios may likewise ensue when dealing with the price of the upcoming Zen based processor of AMD as most reports would suggest.
In retrospect, it has been reported by PC World that the price range of AMD Ryzen CPU will likely be around $800 giving little maneuvering room for Intel processor pricing. Apart from that, an alternate scenario has also been presented, which would potentially shatter the dominance of Intel in the CPU industry. If an 8-core Zen came in at $500 as some leaks would suggest, then buyers will likely shift to AMD, given that Ryzen's performance will deliver a core i7 performance in a much lower price.
