"The Good Fight" is set to continue the story of Diana and Lucca (Cush Jumbo), a year after the events in the CBS series "The Good Wife." Diana is still one of the top-notch lawyers in Lockhart and Lee, however, an unexpected event that involves her goddaughter Maia (Rose Leslie) will force her to leave the firm and start anew, according to spoilers posted on CBS.

Shortly after joining Lockhart and Lee, the newbie lawyer Maia will be involved in a financial scam that would ruin her reputation. The situation will also drain Diana of her financial resources and she would have no choice but to seek employment in a Chicago law firm where Lucca also works. With Maia by her side, the two ladies would have to prove their worth and capabilities as they each face interesting cases and life challenges.

Meanwhile, Diana's rise to power and her eventual downfall was previewed in the first trailer clip for "The Good Fight." Several scenes in the said promo video, posted on Deadline, showed Diana being applauded by her colleagues before switching to a scene that featured the lawyer showing her anger and frustration during a meeting.

Some of the scenes also showcased Maia's devastation over the unfortunate and career-damaging incident. However, the young lawyer's romantic relationship with girlfriend Amy (Helene Yorke) may help her to recover from her professional struggles.

Other "The Good Fight" spoilers teased in the CBS All Access' show's trailer included a look at Robert Boseman's (Delroy Lindo) attempts to take advantage of the situation and steal some of Diana's clients while she deals with her financial problems. Viewers should also ready themselves to see suspenseful scenes since "things will get nasty" in show's debut season, as indicated in the clip.

"The Good Fight" is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 19, Sunday, on CBS and CBS All Access, however, succeeding episodes will be released only on CBS All Access. Watch the trailer below:
