Paige VanZant is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC today and she has been linked with the WWE earlier this year. In a recent interview with Maxim, VanZant revealed if the rumors about her joining Vince McMahon's company are true.

The 22-year-old MMA fighter was interviewed by Maxim before her fight with Michelle Waterson on Saturday at UFC on FOX 22. She was asked about the rumors around August regarding an appearance on WWE programming.

"The WWE is an amazing organization. I'm a UFC fighter right now, but my future has no limits. Can't wait to see what I accomplish next," VanZant said.

"12 Gauge" also revealed that he is a huge wrestling fan which only makes her perfect in the WWE. She added that The Rock was his favorite wrestler growing up. It should be noted that PVZ was supposed to appear at SummerSlam back in August.

VanZant pulled out from a possible WWE appearance because she had a scheduled fight with Bec Rawlings a week after SummerSlam. It was a good choice since she ended up defeating Rawlings via knockout in the second round.

However, wrestling fans cannot deny the star power of an MMA star like VanZant. She can appeal to casual fans because of her appearance on Dancing with the Stars season 22 wherein she was the runner-up.

The WWE and the UFC have co-existed despite the differences they had over the years so VanZant making an appearance next year is possible. Top officials were able to convince Ronda Rousey at the height of her popularity to get physical inside the ring.

Rousey, who is also a big wrestling fan, appeared in a segment at WrestleMania 31 last year. She helped The Rock fend of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. She ended up judo throwing Triple H while also threatening to give Stephanie an armbar.

"Rowdy" is set to fight again at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes. She has hinted that she might end her career soon and focus on Hollywood, and possibly the WWE. On the other hand, VanZant lost her fight over the weekend.

The 22-year-old told reports after the fight that she wants to work on her jiu-jitsu skills for her next fight, per MMA Junkie. It seems like she wants to improve more inside the Octagon but the WWE is always open for her once she decides to jump ship.
