In the Philippines, Filipinos of all ages cannot just seem to stop watching their favorite series. They would download a 20-episode drama and binge-watch them. They allow themselves to lack sleep, even if they have to report to work the following day.

Viu Philippines helps the Filipinos satisfy their Korean and Japanese drama addictions. It is easy for avid fans to stream their favorite dramas since Viu works like American streaming company, Netflix, Inquirer reported.

One just needs to sign up and watch all the dramas and shows available either on a laptop or phone. For instance, its list of dramas has South Korean series "Sweet Stranger and Me," Japanese drama "A Girl and Three Sweethearts" and more.

Episodes are downloadable so that they can be watched during one's spare time, on their device and anywhere. It is also intended since internet in the Philippines can sometimes go slow.

Korean and Japanese drama fans will love Viu Philippines. They can also check Viu's Facebook page regularly to know the new episodes. The Viu app can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple stores.

Viu operates in Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore. It entered the Philippine market on Nov. 29 to tap the Filipinos' love for Japanese and Korean entertainment.

"We feel it's a very ripe market for us to come into and offer more diverse content to the audience of the Philippines,"  ABS-CBN News quoted Viu's parent firm PCCI Media Group managing director Janice Lee as saying. She added the service has content available to stream with subtitles shortly after being aired and that is their edge in drawing fans.

Viu's rivals in the Philippines are HOOQ and iFlix. The two have already partnered with the country's telecom titans Globe Telecom and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, respectively.
