Barry (Grant Gustin) may find himself in big trouble when "The Flash" Season 3 returns to the small screens. Latest spoiler news teased of the scarlet speedster's plans to save Iris (Candice Patton) from Savitar's deadly attack that includes messing with time again.

Flashpoint was a major story arc in the first half of "The Flash" Season 3 that introduced several changes to Barry and his friends' lives. He learned the hard way that going back in time to change one thing can impact the present timeline in so many ways.

However, Barry is about to go through the same time-traveling chaos again especially after he witnessed a future scene that revealed his girlfriend's death under Savitar's hands. Shown during the midseason finale of "The Flash" Season 3, Present Barry accidentally leaped several months into the future and saw Future Barry's unsuccessful attempt to save Iris.

In the recently released teaser clip for the CW show's upcoming midseason premiere, one way that Barry will try to prevent Iris' death from happening is to go back to the future to learn more about the incident. Posted on iDigital Times, the video showed Barry enlisting Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) help so both of them could vibe into the future.

It appears that the scarlet speedster is planning to capture every moment of the said future scene leading to Iris' demise. With a better map of what that will happen, Barry is hoping to change the sequence of events to alter the future.

The promo clip for the midseason premiere of "The Flash" Season 3 also featured Iris confronting Barry about a secret that he may be hiding from her. With no choice but to confess, the scarlet speedster will admit to Iris that he saw her impending death.

Meanwhile, co-showrunner Aaron Helbing recently shared that Barry will stop at nothing to ensure Iris' safety. In an interview with TVLine, he also commented that Cisco and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) will play a major role in helping Barry avert Iris' deadly future.
