"One Piece" manga finale is almost near as writer and illustrator Eiichiro Oda hinted that 2017, which marks the 20th anniversary of the anime, will be moving towards the conclusion of Luffy's adventure and the rest of the Straw Hats.

There have been a great anticipation on how the adventure of Luffy and the rest of the pirates will end after almost 20 years of interesting adventures and battles inland and at seas. Finally, after a long wait of ending confirmation, Eiichiro Oda advised his fans that his manga series has already reached more than 60 percent and that the coming year will be a significant year to move Straw Hats conclusion, according to CrunchyRoll.

Apart from that, the report also mentioned that the currently running Whole Cake Island arc is half-way done, probably 20 to 25 chapters remaining, before 2017 series will carry into the Reverie council of kings and Wano land of the samurai arcs.

That being said, such statement of the creator somehow reassessed previous reports that "One Piece" only is only left with 20-30 percent story, especially after "One Piece" editor, Suguru Sugita previously shared the status of the manga series.

"[Oda] He told me that the first part of the story, the part prior to the time-skip, was around halfway through. That was about 60 volumes, so maybe we're at 70%? I don't think it's at 80% yet," Sugita told One Piece Podcast in an interview.

With the given scenarios and the series progression towards its ending, various speculations concerning the entailed of "One Piece" manga has surfaced online. In a Reddit post, one fan suggested that a fierce battle between Luffy and Coby will be showcased at the end of the anime. A potential Marineford War 2 could happen as characters would fight each other to obtain the highly sought "One Piece."

However, there is still no telling or either clear hint on how "One Piece" manga series will be ended Eiichiro Oda. Given his creativity and wide imagination, both manga and anime series fans will surely be in for an epic ending. Guess we would just have to wait and see how Luffy's adventure will progress come 2017.
