JYJ member Park Yoochun might have been cleared of the sexual assault charges, but it appears as though his accusers will not go scot-free. Prosecutors are now asking that the blackmailers be given a harsh sentence for making up the false allegations against the singer.

The prosecutors have asked for a 24-month jail sentence for the first accuser and an 18-month and 42-month imprisonment for the second and third accuser respectively. The prosecution asked for the harsh sentencing at the Seoul Central District Court on Dec. 22, Thursday.

During the hearing, the prosecutors made their final demands for the sentencing of the three accusers following a non-public questioning of the blackmailers. The deliberation went on for approximately two-and-a-half hours.

"The boyfriend of the individual who initially falsely accused Yoochun of rape should receive 1 year and 6 months since he was involved after believing his girlfriend's testimony," All Kpop quoted the prosecution as saying. However, they asked for a stricter sentence for the third accuser owing to his criminal history. The defendants apologized for the false rape allegations and requested the judge to give them a lighter sentence.

Park was accused of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old woman named Ms. Lee in June. Lee worked at an entertainment establishment/liquor bar and her boyfriend filed the complaint against the singer.

Lee claimed that Park walked into the bar as a customer on the night of June 3 and forced her into having sex with him inside the establishment's restroom. The accuser also handed over the underwear she was wearing that night to the police as evidence.

Several other individuals came forward with rape allegations against the singer in the wake of Lee's allegations. However, Park was cleared of the charges in July as investigators found no evidence to prove the use of force during the sexual encounter, according to Soompi. The sentencing of the accusers will take place on Jan. 17 in the court.
