Ian Clark finds himself trying to climb up the Golden State Warriors ranks to invade the rotation. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala seem like a mountain to climb though the 25-year-old has recently got big breaks.

The former guard from the Utah Jazz made quite an impression against the Portland Trail Blazers, ending up with a career-high 23 points. But the talk of the night was that crossover move he did against Noah Vonleh.

That happened in the fourth quarter which caught everyone’s attention, including Kevin Durant, Mercury News reported.

“You know what, I don’t know what to call it,” Durant said. “It wasn’t perfect form, but I’m sure when Ian looked back to the bench, he saw me on the ground and knew he’d made a great move.”

The Blazers have been victim to Clark’s rise though his rise has been noted even against several teams. Teams have now started to notice the reserve guard, someone who was undrafted during the 2013 NBA Draft.

The Warriors are actually Clark’s third team. He invaded the NBA via the Utah Jazz and also had a stint with the Denver Nuggets. Looking over career, it was with the Warriors where his career has blossomed. And from the looks of it, he is enjoying his role despite the odds of longer spells on the floor.

“I’ve come a long way, but it’s still something I’m trying to harness and do a good job at. Watching Steph and also talking to Andre as well, it’s about learning to pick your spots of when to attack and when not to.”

Clark is all set to face his former team (Utah Jazz) next, a team he is grateful for breaking him into the NBA, the San Francisco Gate reported. A lot has changed since his debut, something the Jazz may end up wary of.

The former Belmont standout has come a long way and the survival stage is over and done with. He stands to cramp up the guard rotation which gives coach Steve Kerr more options as far as his backcourt options are concerned.
