Alec Baldwin who impersonates United States President-elect Donald Trump in "Saturday Night Live" offers to perform at the latter's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017. He would like to play AC/DC's "Highway to Hell." He made the offer after big-time artists like Elton John and Andrea Bocelli were said to have declined the gig.
Those who confirmed to perform at the inauguration so far are the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, "America's Got Talent" contestant Jackie Evancho and the Rockettes. Also rumored to be performing are the Beach Boys.
The actor's impersonation of Trump in "Saturday Night Live" caused a clash between him and the politician over social media. The latter called the show one-sided, biased and not funny.

Though not a fan of Trump, Baldwin studies the politician's mannerisms and the way he says things. The actor told New York Times that is particularly surprised by Trump's tendencies to pause and comes up with something not worth the pause.
Baldwin said that the real Trump is busy struggling with the fast-moving affairs in Turkey, Syria, Russia and Germany. The affairs of such countries are challenges to the next U.S. leader whose position focuses on domestic economic revival, the actor added.
Meanwhile, Baldwin is set to play a famous prosecutor in an upcoming TV project, in which he also executive produces along with Brendan Deneen and Jason Egenberg. It is an adaptation from the 2015 book by Jerry Schmetterer and Michael Vecchione titled "Crooked Brooklyn."
The upcoming series will tell the story of Baldwin's character Vecchione, the hard-charging lawyer and top deputy of Charles J. Hynes, the former district attorney of Brooklyn. Schmetterer told Page Six, "It's in development. We're all very excited and working very hard to get this on-air."
