"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart was heavily bruised up when she stepped out in Georgia with girlfriend Stella Maxwell.
The 26-year-old actress was spotted with a bruised face and scraped knees, which she later covered with bandages, The Daily Mail reported. The reason behind her injuries was not revealed, but it is speculated that she may have tripped during a night out.
Others, however, speculate that the injuries are related to Stewart's break up with ex-girlfriend St. Vincent. It was previously reported that St. Vincent was physically abusive to Stewart.
Another theory suggests that the unusual display is merely a publicity stunt since Stewart is currently filming a thrilled called "Lizzie" together with actress Chloe Sevigny. As per Entertainment Weekly, "Lizzie" is a film adaptation of the events that took place prior to the notorious murders of the Borden family that took place in the late 1800s.
The movie centers on Lizzie Borden, played by Chloe Sevigny, who was tried for murdering her father and stepmother with an ax. She was later acquitted and her acquittal spawned several theories as to who may have killed her parents.
In the film, which is directed by Craig William Macneill, Stewart plays Bridge Sullivan, the Borden family's maid. She sees a "sympathetic and kindred spirit" in Sevigny's character but their friendship later escalates into attraction and vengeance. One of the popular theories that followed the case pinned Sullivan as the suspect to the murders.
"Lizzie" also stars Denis O'Hare, Fiona Shaw, Jamey Sheridan and Jeff Perry.
Following her whirlwind romance with St. Vincent and their subsequent break up, Stewart is now dating Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell. A source claims that Maxwell is living with Stewart at the actress' home in Los Angeles.
A source reveals that the couple is totally smitten with one another and that they spent several days in Savannah, Georgia when Maxwell came to visit Robert Pattinson's ex. While the couple did not pack a lot of PDA, they looked very happy and seemed like they were having a lot of fun hanging out together.
Stewart and Maxwell were first seen together at the Met Gala 2016 in May where they left the after party together in the same car.
