"DOTS" fans cannot contain their excitement and are eagerly waiting to watch their favorite Song-Song couple at the annual event, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, according to the same publication. This will be the first time the rumored couple attends an award ceremony together after the 52nd Baeksang Art Awards in June, where they took home honors in the Most Popular Actor and Most Popular Actress categories.

This would also mark the first appearance for Hye Kyo on the KBS Drama Awards in more than a decade, according to All Kpop. The last time the actress appeared on the annual event was in 2004, when her performance in "Full House" earned her a three-way tie with two other Korean actresses from other dramas.

Hye Kyo's and Joong Ki's appearances at award shows are a rare occurrence, therefore news of their appearance on the KBS Drama Awards show has led many to believe that the "Descendants of the Sun" stars will be this year's winners of the Grand Prize (Daesang) award. That would not come as a surprise as the 16-episode KBS2 drama was a huge hit not only in South Korea but also across several Asian countries.

In addition to the Song-Song couple and Park, the other celebrities that have been confirmed to attend the event on Saturday are Kim Min Suk, Onew of SHINee, Jinyoung of B1A4, Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Jae Wook, Kwak Dong Yeon, Kim Sung Oh, Park Shin Yang, Lee Dong Hwi, Kang Ye Won, Jeon Hye Bin, Lee Sang Yeob, and Jo Yeo Jeong.
