The gravity-defying videogame from Sony Computer Entertainment's Japan Studio - "Gravity Rush" has been graced with an anime adaptation that was recently released online. The animated short featurette is reported to connect the first game to the events that are about to happen in the title's upcoming sequel.
The two-part anime monikered as "Gravity Rush: Overture" was made by the production company Khara that is known for its "Rebuild of Evangelion" film series. It has a total run time of 17 minutes and it features the exploits of protagonists Kat and Raven as they battle the Nevi horde including the two antagonists in the latter part of the short film, according to Game Spot.
The final scene of the anime showcases both Syd and Kat being pulled inside a gravitational whirlpool and were both transported to the small mining town called Banga. It is said that the inbound installment of the game will be the culmination of Kat and Raven's adventures and was supposed to be released this December.
However, it was announced in October that the game's release will be pushed back to January 2017. In order to pacify irked fans, SCE is slated to give away a premium downloadable content (DLC) free of charge as soon as the game comes out, iDigitalTimes reported.
Apart from this, the SCE also posted a downloadable demo game for "Gravity Rush 2" on PlayStation Store's official site. Moreover, it was mentioned that the demo will have two contents that will cater both newbies and tenured players of the game, though it urged players to try both. Nonetheless, would-be players were given a heads up that the demo is just a draft of the game and does not reflect the upcoming game's final render.
