The latest details for the "Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy" will feature its possible release date and price, as well as a new sequel in the works after the game.

Sony confirmed during the PlayStation Experience 2016 event the return of "Crash Bandicoot" in the PlayStation 4 in the form of a compilation game called "Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy".

The game is an updated version of all three "Crash Bandicoot" games from the first PlayStation console namely, "Crash Bandicoot", "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" and "Crash Bandicoot Warped". The "N.Sane Trilogy" is being developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision, which currently owns the rights of the "Crash Bandicoot" license from its original owner Naughty Dog.

While the game is slated for a 2017 release date in the PS4, Brazilian retailer website Zilliongames put a placeholder on the updated "Crash Bandicoot" trilogy game and set it on Feb. 28, 2017, along with a supposed box art of the game.

Not only that, a supposed price details from Amazon stated that the "Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy" will cost around £49.99 ($61), while Activision claimed that the game could be worth $39.99, Business Wire reported.

With that in mind, could gaming fans see a new sequel for the "Crash Bandicoot" after the "N.Sane Trilogy" has launched in the PS4?

PlayStation Europe head Jim Ryan stated that Sony and Activision would continue to tease fans on the future of Crash, but it seems pretty obvious what is in store.

Activision currently owns the rights to the "Crash Bandicoot" series and might as well be the ones to develop the three remastered versions or even a new title afterwards. Without a doubt, Crash Bandicoot will see a new game released. While neither Activision or Sony have confirmed this, it seems the most logical outcome.

It was during the Electronic Entertainment Expo event several months back that Sony heard the calling of video game fans that want to a "Crash Bandicoot" on the PS4. Numerous rumors and speculations were featured on several internet sites that teased a possible title in the works soon.

Sony was made aware of the fans need for the return of "Crash Bandicoot" thus, the "N.Sane Trilogy" was made to appeal the nostalgia of the gaming fans.

"Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy" is set to launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4.
