However, fans of the sitcom are still hopeful that a new season will be launched starting next year. After all, Disney Channel has not made any announcements yet. On the other hand, the network has announced new seasons for the sitcom very early on for the past three years so the delay has also become a cause for concern for a lot of people.

Meanwhile, the title for the final episode for Season 3 is "Girl Meets Goodbye." Even the title suggests that the sitcom will come to an end very soon. Lead star Rowan Blanchard also posted a cryptic tweet on social media expressing her sadness over the rumors of a possible cancellation. The other cast members have been mum about the cancellation rumors.

In other news, ahead of the finale episode airing on Jan. 20, "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will air two more episodes. On Jan. 6, the episode will be called "World Meets Girl." The writers of the sitcom confirmed that the episode will span an hour. "World Meets Girl" will also serve as a thank you from the writers, creators, producers and cast of the "Girl Meets World." The next episode will be titled "Girl Meets Sweet 16" and one of the girls from the show will be celebrating her birthday.

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. EST.
