Luca Todesco's Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak remains in beta build and is not for everyone but a new report indicates of an upcoming JB tool release that likely will work for all jailbreak fans. Hacker Stefan Esser, also known as @i0n1c, has issued claims that soon enough a cracked version iOS 10.2 will touch down.

Forbes reported of the recent tweet from Esser that said "the iOS 10.2 jailbreak is about to hit soon." The dev dismissed at the same time the notion that jailbreak fans will be locked out of the tool following Apple's decision to stop signing iOS 10.1.1.

However, the Esser tease appears to be short on the juicy details. As noted by Forbes, @i0n1c himself will not be the source of the 10.2 jailbreak but the dev did not mention in his tweet who or which team will provide the modified Apple mobile operating system.

But there are the usual suspects like TaiG or the celebrated Team Pangu from China. Between the two, it is the latter that seems to be the more solid candidate as maker of the 10.2 jailbreak. While the group has been strangely silent for months, they managed to showcase back in July Cydia running on iOS 10 that apparently was a hint of the progress of their jailbreak work.

And the famed Cydia creator, Saurik or Jay Freeman, even vouched for Team Pangu, declaring recently that if there is a credible jailbreak work that exists, it is of the Chinese hacking team. Saurik, however, stopped short of giving release date details.

Yet Pangu, to date, is unable to deliver that the dev team has been overtaken by Todesco whose jailbreak is now on beta 4, meaning less issues and better stability from the previous builds. As it stands today, the Yalu iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak by Todesco is far from convenient to use. For one, the tool is semi-untethered and that means a re-jailbreak is required every reboot of the jailbroken device.

It's also worth mentioning that the Todesco JB tool only works on 64-bit iOS devices, specifically the iPhone 7 and 6S series and the iPad Pro so the coverage is fairly limited. But the jailbreak will have to do for now as fans hope that the Esser hint will prove accurate and real soon.

Forbes though cautioned that like in the past, @i0n1c could just be on the trolling mode so to be realistic jailbreak fans are advised not to get their hopes too high for a better iOS 10.2 jailbreak release than Todesco's already on hand 10.1.1 JB tool.
