"Logan" has been made known to be the final "Wolverine" film that actor Hugh Jackman will be taking part in. Speculations of a "Deadpool" appearance in "Logan" came about as the online site The Wrap stated that actor Ryan Reynolds filmed a scene in the upcoming movie which the actor denied. Reynolds broke the news on Twitter confirming that his "Merc with a Mouth" character will be a no-show in "Logan."

The film's director, James Mangold, also tweeted to rebut such news from the publication and added that it deals with fake news. Mangold tweeted yet again pointing out that the publication's reports are false and went on saying that his denial is now reported in a different light. The drama did not stop there as Hugh Jackman seconded what both Reynolds and Mangold earlier tweeted.

Nevertheless, there is a possibility that both Reynolds and Mangold are just avoiding to spill the beans to fans, according to Slash Film. It even cited the time where "Doctor Strange" star Benedict Cumberbatch was rumored to play the part of Khan in "Star Trek: Into Darkness" but was debunked by the entire production. As soon as the movie went out, it was discovered that previous rumors were indeed true about him playing the role.

Meanwhile, Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly that he wanted both his character and Wolverine to be seen in a crossover film. He added that if such project would be pitched in the future, they have to convince Jackman first to unsheathe his adamantium claws one more time on screen. Reynolds would even go as far as calling out his online friends to put up some sort of campaign just for the project to push through. "Logan" is slated to be released on March 3, 2017.
