Lucasfilm and Disney may be working on a brand new television series. However, instead of a live-action series such as the cancelled bounty hunters show it will be an animated series similar to "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels."

A job posting for a storyboard artist on the official Lucasfilm Recruiting website revealed the upcoming plans for an animated series. It is also revealed that Lucasfilm Animation is the particular company aiming to hire and the storyboard artist will work closely with the Episodic Directors and Supervising Director.

It is also listed that the storyboard artist must be able to convey a "story from script through visual storytelling techniques in a 3d environment." Both of the aforementioned animated series were done with 3D animation instead of traditional hand-drawn, 2D art.

The job post may not even be for a brand new series and Lucasfilm may be hiring for future seasons of "Star Wars Rebels." However, there are several indications that the posting refers to a third animation show that has yet to be unveiled, Comic Book reported.

One of the key clues stated is that Dave Filoni is no longer the Supervising Director for "Star Wars Rebels." The creative team for "Star Wars Rebels" is also well established. It is further explained that the nature of animated series means "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4 is already in production.

This indicates "Star Wars Rebels" may be ending soon, particularly since its story is about to overlap with the events of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and "Star Wars: A New Hope." With the show potentially ending soon a brand new series would fill in the void.

Lucasfilm and Disney have yet to make any official announcements regarding "Star Wars Rebels" and a new series. More information is expected to be revealed during the Star Wars Celebration event in April 2017.
