With a career that spanned nearly seven decades, Debbie Reynolds' net worth is expected to be substantially huge. Since her death on Dec. 28, Wednesday, the fortune that she left could not be avoided to talk about.

Reynolds' net worth is massive and considerably larger than that of her daughter Carrie Fisher. The net worth of the former is $85 million, while her daughter's net worth is $25 million, according to Go Banking Rates. There are other reports claiming that the "Three Little Words" star's net worth at $60 million.

Known as the 1950s "America's Sweetheart," Reynolds debuted her acting career early at 16. She rose to fame with the movie "Singin' in the Rain" and since then, she continued her success in the movies and other endeavors.

Dozens of movies are credited to Reynolds that skyrocketed her net worth, including "Bundle of Joy," "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" and "Mother." As a talented actress, she did not limit herself in the film industry as she also tried her luck in the television with the hit sitcom "Will & Grace" and her own TV show "The Debbie Reynolds Show."

Aside from acting, Reynolds earned a lot from writing. She is well known for her work that include "Make 'Em Laugh: Short-Term Memories of Longtime Friends" and "Debbie: My Life." Her "Unsinkable: A Memoir" gained immense popularity when she penned how her then-husband Eddie Fisher left her for Elizabeth Taylor.

Reynolds' net worth did not come only from acting and writing as she also ventured into several businesses. As a dancer, she helped and inspired amateur dancers through her Debbie Reynolds Studio in California.

Clarion Hotel Casino in Las Vegas was previously owned by Reynolds from 1992 to 1997. She changed the name of the hotel casino into the Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Hotel, but it did not succeed until she filed bankruptcy, Las Vegas Sun reported.

It is said that Reynolds' net worth also came from her lucrative endorsement deals with CoverGirl cosmetics, stock investments and property holdings. She also reportedly owned a football team, a restaurant, a perfume and a vodka brand.

It appears that Reynolds' multiple sources of income allowed her to amass a huge amount of fortune. However, after divorcing Eddie, her second husband Harry Karl misused nearly $100 million of her money that reduced her hard-earned wealth.

Richard Hamlett, Reynolds' third and last husband, reportedly used some of her fortune for his own benefit. There are reports that say that the actress became his personal bank and changed the deed of their properties for his mistress. Her unfortunate relationships seemed to have diminished an ample amount of her net worth.

With just a day apart between their deaths, there will be a joint memorial service for Reynolds and Carrie. Reynolds' estate may likely be received by her living son Todd Fisher and granddaughter Billie Lourd. Check out an interview with Reynolds and Carrie on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 2011 here:
