Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 will be released in the first quarter of 2017 thanks to Pegatron Technology as the manufacturer of the device, Digitimes reported. Quanta Computer may also be another manufacturer but there are still no confirmations from both companies.

Specs and features of the actual device are not yet disclosed by Microsoft but many expect that it will be faster than the Surface Pro 4 which was released more than a year ago. The device may sport an Ultra HD display which will be an improvement over the previous generations of the laptop tablet hybrid. Users will be able to enjoy their high definition videos with no problems.

Microsoft may release the Surface Pro 5 along with the Windows 10 Creators Update around March 2017, Digital Trends reported. The device may also feature a magnetic charging stylus that can rival the accuracy of the Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro.

Other features that may appear in the new device from Microsoft include the USB Type-C port which is slowly becoming the standard for mobile devices. There are also others claiming that it will be using eSIM for easier access to several carriers depending on the user's choice.

The Surface Pro 5 may be revealed at the upcoming CES 2017 event and released several weeks after. Fans will have to wait for Microsoft's official announcement regarding the device.
