One of the most expensive parts of gaming devices, particularly gaming computers and laptops, are their graphics cards. Back in October 2016; however, graphics card manufacturer NVIDIA released their budget-friendly GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti. While no gaming peripheral was released with them pre-installed at the time, the newly unveiled Acer Aspire VX 15 does, CNET reported.

The Aspire VX 15 from Acer will be released later this month in the United States. It has a starting price of $799, which is particularly cheap considering its performance and that it is a 15.6-inch laptop. The buyer can also configure it if their budget allows for it to include upgrades such as the Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor.

The GPUs included in this gaming laptop are not sufficient to run virtual reality (VR) technology, so further upgrades should be considered when buying this laptop for that purpose. However, what is included straight from the box is more than enough to play modern games at a frame rate of 60 frames per second.

Aside from the 15.6-inch model, Acer also announced a 17.3-inch version at this year's Consumer Electronic Show (CES). Despite the large difference in screen size, both can still present the user with optimal resolution. The ultra HD screens on both models allow for Full HD (1920 x 1080) and Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolutions with superior color, according to Digital Trends.

Both versions can support up to 32 GB of DDR4 Ram, but the base model comes with 16 GB of it. In terms of storage, there is a 256 GB or 512 GB option for fast booting as well as a second 500 GB or 1 TB hard disk drive for storage.

Additional features include Tobii eye tracking on the 17.3-inch version, which allows users to browse through apps more efficiently when a simple glance is utilized together with touchpad gestures. A fingerprint scanner will also include in both versions.
