Chinese actors Fan Bingbing and Li Chen topbill the performers at China Central Television’s New Year Gala which marks the beginning of the festive Lunar New Year.

The event, to be held in Beijing, is being speculated by fans of Fan Bingbing as the occasion when she would possibly announce her wedding to Li Chen. However, the couple said when asked about the possibility of a marriage announcement, “We’ll definitely share if we have good news!”

Together for Spring Festival

According to Toggle, Li Chen and Fan Bingbing will spend the beginning of Spring Festival together since he could not return to Qingdao, his hometown, because of his work schedule. Li Chen is still mum about what they would perform, but he teased it could be something sweet and short such as a song.

He promised to give out red packets during the Chinese New Year which he feels happy giving out because everybody worked hard in the last 12 months. The two confirmed in May 2015 their relationship in Weibo.

Movies & TV Shows

In 2016, Fan Bingbing appeared in three movies, “I Am Not Madame Bovary,” “L.O.R.D.: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties” and “The Bombing.” She had no TV series last year, but would take on the role of Ba Qing in “Win the World” which would air in 2017. Her forthcoming movies for this year are “The Lady in the Portrait,” where she plays Empress Ulanara, and “White Sparrow.”

Li Chen’s career began in 1997 when as a 19-year-old first year acting student, he played JianNing, the main character in the TV series “17 Years Don’t Cry.” In 2016, Li Chen appeared in the movies “MBA Partners” and “When Larry Met Mary.” He did not do any TV series in 2016, but he would be seen in “The Advisors Alliance” this year.
