Since the debut of the season, fans have been wondering about the identity of the booted stranger spying on the survivors at the safe zone with a pair of binoculars.

The mysterious boots have fired up debates among fans as to who is the boot-wearer, according to Wet Paint, with some pegging Dwight as their first choice. On the other hand, some believe that the owner of the boots is someone from the Oceanside community whom Tara encountered in episode 6.

Recently, interesting details about the character's possible identity have been revealed by a reliable "The Walking Dead" source, "Spoiling Dead Fans." According to the site, the mysterious character that has been creeping on Alexandria is someone viewers have yet to see on the zombie apocalypse series. What's even more exciting is that the person stalking the survivors is non-existent in "The Walking Dead" comics, on which the series is largely based.

Spoilers suggest that the spy is a member of a new group of youngsters and teenagers living in dumpsters, which die-hard "The Walking Dead" fans collectively dub as the "Garbage Pail Kids." The source noted that this group is another batch of characters coming to the series when it returns, in addition to the other groups that have already been introduced in the previous episodes--Saviors, Kingdom, Hilltop and Oceanside.

The lady boot-wearer who has been checking out the safe zone from a distance will be played by "Jack Reacher" star Sabrina Gennarino, Comicbook reported. Her name will reportedly be Tamiel and she will be the second in charge among her group, next only to their leader named Yadis. The character will be portrayed by Pollyana McIntosh and is allegedly the role filled by the summer's casting call for a new character named Brion, a pseudonym used to mislead fans.

As of this writing, there is no confirmation on whether the Garbage Pail Kids will serve as friend or foe to Rick and his group. However, the group will reportedly be introduced in the midseason premiere and might put a wrench in the plan to march Rick over to the Kingdom to be introduced to King Ezekiel.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns on Feb. 12 on AMC.
