Netflix's upcoming "Frontier" recently released a trailer on Jan. 6, Friday, that has Jason Momoa showcasing his badass side with much savagery and intensity. The period drama stars the bearded actor who plays as Declan Harp, a strong player of the 18th century North American fur trade.

The action of "Frontier" centers on the conflicts arising between native tribes and the Europeans who were in the pursuit of furs that fetched a high price. Negotiations could start peaceful but could end bloody, leaving many dying or dead.

The trailer tells that Irish-native American Harp is a vicious killer who got out from his old employer, Hudson's Bay Company to campaign the break of the firm's monopoly in the fur trade. It is a kind of one man versus wealthy corporation fight but Harp is ambitious, confident, strong and untamed. His situation puts him to be in conflict with many and it is clear he is determined and dangerous.

"I want you to do me a favor," Momoa told a character. "I want you to run on home and I want you to tell them - you tell them I'm here."

The drama's unrestrained violence would remind Momoa's followers of his stint as Khal Drogo in "Game of Thrones" though it is fortunate he would stay in "Frontier" longer than he did in HBO's fantasy series. The streaming giant has renewed the series for a second season in October, ahead of its premiere in Discovery Canada. Unlike "Game of Thrones" where his character died in Season 1, Momoa will be back in "Frontier" Season 2 as Harp, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Produced by Discovery Canada as its first original scripted drama, all the six episodes of the first season already aired in Canada from Nov. 6, 2016. All Season 1 episodes will be available for streaming on Jan. 20.

Momoa's co-stars are Alun Armstrong, Allan Hawco, Zoe Boyle, Landon Liboiron and Canadian native Jessica Matten. The show is produced by ASAP Entertainment and Take the Shot Productions in association with Discovery, Deadline reported.
