The latest details and spoilers for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 will feature Agent May's return and a possible villain turn for Jeffrey Mace in the show.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible villain turn for the new S.H.I.E.L.D. director Jeffery Mace (Jason O'Mara) in the second of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 aside from the LMD threat in the show.

Mace as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. has implemented some notable changes to the now public organization, but through it all there has been a level of secrecy surrounding his powers and his loyalties. The second haft of the show will reveal Mace's "true agenda" as the viewers will get to know him better and his reasons for doing what he is doing, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Ever since the events of "Captain America: Civil War", S.H.I.E.L.D. has returned to the public eye under the leadership of Jeffrey Mace and intentions initially seemed harmless as he acted the part of the organization's director.

However, Mace's secret association with Senator Nadeer (Parminder Nagra) has started to be made known. Mace went out of his way to reveal that he was an Inhuman, but the show has so far not actually revealed how that came to be or if it is actually true. Their relationship is especially interesting considering the fact S.H.I.E.L.D. has other Inhumans working for them, while Nadeer has a secret one stuck in Terrigenisis of her own.

Marvel fans and viewes will likely uncover the truth behind Mace's intentions and the origin of his powers when "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns this month.

In other news, episode 11 of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 titled "Wake Up" will feature the real Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) investigating what happened to her after Aida (Mallory Jansen) locked her up and replaced her with an LMD android.

The synopsis revealed Aida's plans for S.H.I.E.L.D. which will out everyone's life at risk, ComicBookMovie reported.

S.H.I.E.L.D. will face a new enemy after the "Ghost Rider" storyline in the form of the LMDs and Aida. Aida's real plan is still unknown, but it is hinted that it will not be pleasant as the android could replace everyone at S.H.I.E.L.D. with LMD's of their own and since "May" has already been inside their base, it is only a matter of time before Aida acts her plan througout the second haft of the show,

Aida was created by scientist Holden Radcliffe (John Hannah) for the sole purpose for S.H.I.E.L.D., but was hesitant to do so due to the Sokovia accords which prohibits the use of androids or machine after the Ultron incident in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

Agents Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) was the first to know about Aida followed by Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and soon the whole team finds out. Aida was instrumental in stopping Eli Morrow (José Zúñiga) during the first haft of season 2.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 will return on Tuesday Jan. 10 on ABC.
