Marvel has rolled out its first South Korean superhero character and added her as a member of The Avengers. The said character will also play a vital role in the story as it moves forward, reports confirm.

The character is named Ami Han and goes by the superhero identity White Fox. According to Koreaboo, White Fox was first introduced in the Korean webtoon series "Avengers: Electric Rain" which aired on Oct. 14. Two years later, White Fox has found herself as the main focus in one chapter of Marvel's "Civil War II - Choosing Sides," one of Marvel's most popular and most significant series.

The name White Fox is named on the popular South Korean myth of the Kumiho, or a nine-tailed fox that has the ability to shape-shift. In the "Civil War II" comic books, White Fox can speak to animals.

She appears in chapter 6 of "Civil War II," in which the story moves to Seoul. In one scene, White Fox is talking to Captain Marvel in Seoul's Sheep Café.

Having White Fox in the Avengers roster is Marvel's first attempt at targeting the Korean audience. Although she is relatively a newcomer in the team, Marvel believes she is on the same level as Iron Man and Captain America, given her popularity in her home turf.

Many people who follow the series are asking Marvel not to whitewash the character if ever she gets selected to appear in future "Avengers" movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Meanwhile, "Avengers: Infinity War" will soon begin production in Glasgow and Edinburg, Scotland, The Daily Record reported. Robert Downey, Jr, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson are heading to Scotland to film the upcoming "Avengers" installment, which is said to have a total production cost of £400million. Filming will begin by the end of February. This will be the biggest blockbuster film ever to be filmed in Scotland.

"Avengers: Infinity War" has already confirmed a massive lineup of cast and characters, which includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Josh Brolin as Thanos. Liv Tyler and Karen Gillan are also joining the show.

"Avengers: Infinity War" has been set for a tentative release date of May 2018.
