Hyundai Motors has officially announced its latest gesture of integrating its Blue Link service with Google's command software, which will enable voice control on cars through Google Assistant.

Recently, the automotive manufacturing company Hyundai Motors stretched its Blue Link service from its infotainment and car-sharing system by opening another pioneering technology on Hyundai car owners, which is allowing them to send voice commands to their vehicles.

According to NDTV, The Blue Link Agent will now be integrated inside Google Home that will allow car owners to give commands straight to the Hyundai vehicle, such as starting, stopping, sending a location, turning the lights on/off, and managing the car climate.

Other commands that can improve the user's functionality and efficiency include "Ok Google, Tell Blue Link to start my Santa Fe and set the temperature to 72 degrees," "Ok Google, Tell Blue Link to send the address of the Mandarin Oriental, in Las Vegas to my Sonata" and "Ok Google, ask Blue Link to lock my car."

Hyundai Motors America's Director of Digital Business Planning and Connected Operations Manish Mehrotra expanded that the recent integration of a smart home software in its Blue Link service is well-received by consumers, stressing how the new technology shares both usefulness and comfort.

He said, "Our customers are finding smart home integrations like the one we are showcasing with Google Home to be very useful and convenient."

"We will continue to add layers of convenience to the Blue Link connected car system and our cars, making features like remote EV charge management, remote locking, temperature and remote start easier than ever while sitting on the couch and saying 'Ok Google'," he added.

In order to unlock the Blue Link service on their Google Home, users should link their Blue Link account with the voice-activated services offered by Google Assistant; hence, they should be owners of a Google Home device, iPost reported.

Once activated, Google Assistant will send the owner a Blue Link personal identification number. Users should only send commands to a car once they have entered the Blue Link PIN number, which serves as Google Home's safety measures.

Hyundai Motors' Blue Link is a telematics system that enables data sharing between cars with proactive safety and car care services. Some of its services allow users to employ automatic emergency support, and control various functions of cars remotely through a connected smartphone, Apple Watch, or Android Wear device.
