Game product manager Andreas Juliusson posted on the "Tekken" reddit page that the Feb.12 launch date by Komplett is "inaccurate" and is just a limitation in their system which forces an upcoming product on their website to have a release date in order to get published.

Bandai Namco adamantly wanted gaming fans to know that the release date is not true and that retail store should revert back 2017, Segment Next reported.

Juliusson promised that an official release date for "Tekken 7" is going to arrive later this month. "Tekken 7" is already available in Japanese arcades, having released last year. A western release for the consoles and PC version is slated for the first quarter of 2017.

Meanwhile, "Tekken" game producer Katsuhiro Harada teased a possible Nintendo Switch version of "Tekken 7" soon as he told GameSpot that he was surprised about the unveiling of the new Nintendo console, giving gaming fans a slight of hope of "Tekken 7" being available to other gaming platforms.

The publication also asked Harada if would support Sony and Microsoft’s upgraded consoles, namely the Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro. According to Harada, these gaming platforms are relatively new and it is hard for him to confirm anything at the moment.

Previous reports teased that Harada and Bandai Namco may not add "Tekken Revolution" character Eliza into "Tekken 7" after tweeting an answer to a fan on Twitter who wanted Eliza in the sequel.

Eliza first debut in "Tekken Revolution" as a new playable character as several gaming fans have been requesting for Eliza to be included in the latest Tekken game solely because they were unable to play Tekken Revolution for the PS3. Eliza actually caused a stir in the gaming community due to the fact that her breast size can increase in-game.

Gaming fans believed that Eliza could still be part of "Tekken 7" going so far as to possibly become a DLC character in "Tekken 7's" post-launch plans.

Bandai Namco also announced that "Tekken 7" will feature an "Online Tournament" mode for "Tekken 7" for the consoles. The Online Tournament mode will allow gamers to play with up to eight different players from around the world via online play. In addition, they can also get to chat with the players while spectating the tournament.

"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
