With "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" about to conclude, the cast members recently thanked avid viewers for the love and support they showed. The coming-of-age sports drama, starring Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk, is slated to air its final episode on Jan. 11.
Ahead of the finale episode, MBC has released more behind-the-scenes photos from the show's last day of filming. The released photographs obtained by Soompi shows Kim Bok-Joo (Lee) and Jung Joon-Hyung (Nam) forming a heart shape with their arms, while the other one shows the sweet couple being glared at by the former's father, Kim Chang-Gul (Ahn Gil Kang).
Kim Bok-Joo and Song Shi-Ho (Kyung Soo Jin) also shows off their heartwarming friendship in one of the behind-the-scenes images, while Jung Nan-Hee (Jo Hye-Jung) and Lee Seon-Ok (Lee Joo Young) bonded over food. This comes after Sung Kyung took to Instagram on Jan. 07, Saturday, to bid farewell to the MBC show. She also posted a still image of Bok's chicken restaurant.

The MBC drama caught the heart of many Korean drama lovers at home and abroad due to its youthful charm and refreshing storyline. Many also the praised the show for highlighting the fierce self-challenges of sport university students, their real concerns, and growing pains.
Following "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo's" end, "Missing Nine" will officially take over MBC's Wednesday-Thursday timeslot starting Jan. 18, according to Korean newsoutlet ET News. It recounts the story of a startling plane crash that causes a widespread panic in South Korea due to the disappearance of nine entertainers from Legend Entertainment.
After four months, Ra Bong Hee (Baek Jin Hee) ends up as the only survivor and sole witness to the events surrounding the accident. Beside Baek, the upcoming drama also stars Jung Kyung Ho as Seo Joon Woo, Choi Tae-Joon as Choi Tae-Ho, Oh Jung-Se as Jung Ki-Joon, Lee Sun-Bin as Ha Ji-Ah, Park Chan-Yeol as Lee Yeol, Tae Hang-ho as Tae Ho-Hang, Kim Sang-Ho as Hwang Jae-Guk and Ryu Won as Yoon So Hee.
