"Red Dead Redemption 2" release date may have already been confirmed. However, such tentative information did not come from game developer Rockstar but rather from a third party.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is one of the highly anticipated game sequel from Rockstar Games. That is why the details for its release period have been highly sought by gamers and enthusiasts online. Despite the lack of detailed information and a certain level of secrecy, a release period was leaked online.

The said sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" was first announced to be released on Oct. 2, according to a British retailer Littlewoods. However, after some fans took notice of the specific date, the retailer then replaced it with a new date. Thus, leading the fans to think that the company might have accidentally leaked the intended Rockstar release period of the game.

The specific information concerning "Red Dead 2" release date somehow excited over 13 million players, which in the past years almost lost hope regarding a game sequel. It can be remembered that it was until 2014, that developer Take-Two gave a strong hint concerning the development of the "Red Dead Redemption" follow-up.

"It seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise," PC Advisor quoted Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick as saying. "The risk of just [releasing more games] is that you end up just bulking up your release schedule and that isn't really what consumers want. Consumers want better, not more."

Such revelation was somehow preceded by Rockstar's statement back in 2012. The game developer emphasized that although they are not in the rush of making game sequels, it does not mean that they are not into it.

Moreover, apart from the rumored release period, it is also being speculated that "Red Dead 2" gameplay will likely include some kind of an online mode. The same publication also added that the upcoming sequel will introduce three playable characters, similar to that of "Grand Theft Auto 5."
