In the National Basketball Association, the role of the bigman has developed through the years as they now shoot threes and run the floor instead of just clogging the paint and securing rebounds and blocks. For Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, it is DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings who reigns as the best big man in the league.

After the Warriors took a 117-106 win over the Kings on Sunday, Green told the media that people try to downplay what Cousins is capable of because of his reputation on and off the court and said that the Sacramento center is the best in what he does, CBS Sports reported.

The do-it-all forward added that Cousins has developed to an all-around player who can shoot threes, take guys off the dribble and bullying defenders to score. Cousins number says it all, he is averaging 28.0 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals while shooting 38.4 percent from deep and 45.1 percent from the field.

"He's the best five. He's the best center in the game, the best big man in the game, period."

However, fans seem to not see Cousins as the best big man in the league with the results of the All-Star Game voting. The 26-year-old ranks only at sixth place in the West team frontcourt following the results of the first ballot.

Proving his worth, Cousins is reported to sign a historic $200 million extension with the Kings according to SB Nation. Cousins is bound to be an unrestricted free agent in 2018 but if he signs the massive contract, he will continue his tenure as a King until the 2022-2023 season.

The Sacramento Kings, which is at ninth place behind a 16-22 record, have the best chance of entering the playoffs for the first time since 2006 this season and they need Cousins to lead them there now that forward Rudy Gay is reportedly on his way out of the team.
