The Atlanta Hawks and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the only teams this season to engage in trades but expect more moves to be made as the National Basketball Association trade deadline draws closer. Here are updates of some of the NBA stars who are part of the rumor mill:

To say the least, the multi-faceted big man of the New Orleans Pelicans is bound to stay with his original squad. After being included in tons of trade talks, Davis, according to Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry, has expressed his desire to stay in New Orleans, the Boston Herald reported. Gentry added that after being in the league for 28 years, he has learned not to "trade great for good, no matter how many you get."

The Pelicans, who were stricken by injuries at the start of the season, are playing better basketball now and they are in the playoff picture at 10th place in the Western Conference behind a 15-24 record.

Hassan Whiteside

The Miami Heat are struggling in the East at 14th place and star center Hassan Whiteside has been reported to be on the trading block. However, a Heat spokesman dismissed rumors that they are shopping Whiteside who signed a four-year, $98 million contract in the offseason, The Sun Sentinel reported. Nonetheless, if Whiteside is to be kept in South Beach, his teammate, Goran Dragic, might be on his way out of town.

Paul Millsap

When Millsap was reported to be on the trade block, it caused a stir on the league and on social media, deeming the Hawks forward a game changer in the upcoming playoffs. That trade, however, may already be far from happening as the Hawks organization removed Millsap from the trade market. Also, Millsap has been vocal that he wants to stay in Atlanta and it looks like the Hawks will enter the playoffs with their All-Star forward still at the helm.
