If there is one team that has been included in most of the trade rumor talks in the National Basketball Association this season, it would the Boston Celtics. Since the 2007-2008 season, the C's have been into the playoffs except in the 2013-2014 season and part of that success is their decision making in the trade market.

Boston is in good place in the East sitting at third place behind a 25-15 record. But the Celtics need to bolster their lineup to get over the hump against juggernauts Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors. Entering the NBA trade season, Boston has a lot to offer not just on their roster but their future round picks as well.

To say the least, Boston, which is 0-4 against the Cavs and the Raptors this season, need to make moves before the trade deadline in case they want to go for a run at the Eastern Conference title and maybe the NBA championship.

If ever DeMarcus Cousins become available in the market, despite him being bound to receive a $200 million extension from the Sacramento Kings per the Sacramento Bee, the Celtics might offer to trade Marcus Smart, Amir Johnson and one of their first round picks for 2018, a practical deal for the Kings who are in need of a point guard, veteran presence and a promising prospect.

Since the Celtics have made it clear that they are looking for a presence in the paint, they could deal for Andrew Bogut who said he is not seeing himself of being with the Dallas Mavericks long term, Dallas News reported. The Celtics would not need to trade one their players and a second round pick would do.

If the Celtics decide to stay with their core and not get involved in the trade market, they could only hope to be healthy if they want to beat either the Cavs or the Raptors.
