AnTuTu has released its list of top 10 best performance smartphones for year 2016.
AnTuTu is a well-known benchmarking platform to measure performance of the smartphones. It has created a list of top 10 smartphones on the basis of the average of their AnTuTu benchmarking scores.
The iPhone 7 Plus driven by Apple A10 chipset has recorded the highest average score of 181,316. The second place goes to another Apple device, the iPhone 7 that has an average AnTuTu score of 172,001.
OnePlus 3T driven by Snapdragon 821 chipset was launched in the last quarter of 2016 to replace the Snapdragon 820 SoC powered OnePlus 3 that was announced in June last year. The second Snapdragon 821 driven smartphone, the LeEco Le Pro 3 holds the fourth place in the list with an average performance score of 159,911.
The Moto Z smartphone is on the fifth spot with a median AnTuTu score of 148,820. The OnePlus is present on the sixth place with a score of 147,795. Holding a benchmark score of 145,093, the Xiaomi Mi 5s is on the seventh place on the list, Phone Arena reported.
On the eighth position is Asus ZenFone 3 with an average benchmark score of 144,610. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, the only dual-edge display smartphone is placed on the ninth position with a score of 143,788. The ZTE Axon 7 is on the tenth position with a score of 143,463.
If we look at the top 10 Android smartphones for 2016 with best performance by excluding the two iPhone 7 models that occupy the first and second post, the ninth and tenth are occupied by Google Pixel and Pixel XL with respective scores of 141,367 and 140,340. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones are not in the list.
AnTuTu has also released another list that contains top 10 performance iOS devices for 2016. The first spot goes to iPad Pro 12.9-inch that has recorded the highest average score of 194,838. The second place goes to iPhone 7 Plus.
The third place in the list is occupied by iPad Pro 9.7-inch that has a median score of 173,140. After iPhone 7 that holds the fourth spot is the iPhone 6S Plus with 138,159 score on the fifth position.
