With "The Final Problem" believed to be its season finale, BBC's "Sherlock" left fans wanting for more as they are now musing on whether the series will be back for another season or otherwise. The final video message featuring the now demised Mary Morstan (Amanda Abbington) has intrigued many faithfuls. Her final message to Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) has aroused the thoughts of viewers as many believed that there is a hidden meaning to it. The now demised character could be referring to the town of Hell in Norway, though this has to be taken with a pinch of salt, The Telegraph reported.

Molly Hooper's (Louise Brealey) admission to Sherlock also served as a hint to fans since such revelation was short-lived by the ordeal that they were into in the previous episode. Moreover, it can be recalled that the main protagonist's response was just a way to save her from being blown to bits by a bomb that can be remotely detonated.

Another noteworthy mention is the video message from Mary urging them to stay together albeit the misunderstandings that they have been through.  The montage that was showcased afterwards also implied that the duo will carry on with their exploits as they are seen having a word with new clientele.

In the interim, an advance screening of "The Last Problem" episode was held last Jan. 12 at the British Film Institute. Both Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat attended the said event and talked about the future of the show.

When asked if whether the fourth season was the show's final run, Moffat replied that if such would happen, though he added that he has no intentions to end the show just yet. However, he was quoted by Independent during the said screening that there is a possibility that they could end it.
