Alaves, last season's Segunda Division champions, has been reeling at the moment with two straight winless performances. The team is winless in four of their last five outings, which included three drawn matches, to settle in the 12th spot in the overall standings, a safe 10 points above the bottom three relegation zone.

A 10-man Los Babazorros squad was nipped by middling team Celta Vigo, 0-1, on the road at the Balaídos Stadium last Sunday, as per Sporting Life.

After a goalless first half of play, Moroccan defender Zouhair Feddal was sent off one minute after the restart after getting booked with a second yellow card for fouling Celta forward Iago Aspas.

From there, the hosts had a one-man advantage, which led to Serbian midfielder Nemanja Radoja netting the winning goal of the contest in the 89th minute. Radoja made a right-footed shot from the center of the box right into the center of Alaves goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco's goal with the assist coming from teammate Hugo Mallo.

Head coach Mauricio Pellegrino's boys were not able to find the equalizer as time expired, handing them their first defeat in six rounds.

Meanwhile, Leganes was able to hold contending team Athletic Bilbao to a 0-0 tie at their home ground of Butarque Stadium last Saturday, via Sofa Score.

The draw was the fourth one in the last five games of head coach Asier Garitano's side as the team has also been winless in their last six outings.

With that, Los Pepineros dropped to the 16th spot of the 20-team Spanish top flight table, only five points above the bottom three relegation area.
