Alaves, last season's Segunda Division champions, has been reeling at the moment with two straight winless performances. The team is winless in four of their last five outings, which included three drawn matches, to settle in the 12th spot in the overall standings, a safe 10 points above the bottom three relegation zone.
A 10-man Los Babazorros squad was nipped by middling team Celta Vigo, 0-1, on the road at the Balaídos Stadium last Sunday, as per Sporting Life.
After a goalless first half of play, Moroccan defender Zouhair Feddal was sent off one minute after the restart after getting booked with a second yellow card for fouling Celta forward Iago Aspas.

With that, Los Pepineros dropped to the 16th spot of the 20-team Spanish top flight table, only five points above the bottom three relegation area.
