Fans of the American football are some of the most passionate, so it would be understandable if a player would be frustrated if they lost a highly important game. Such was the case with one unnamed Kansas City Chiefs player who reportedly tried to provoke Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Both sets of players seemed to be riled up after the game finished with a close score of 18-16 in favor of the Steelers. It looked as though things were just about to escalate into a full-scale brawl before coaches managed to intervene in the nick of time and separate the players.

"I'm not an MMA fighter," Brown told ABC News. He believes that although American football is a highly aggressive sport, the players should leave it all on the field instead of trying to get into physical altercations following a loss. He clarified that it was not Marcus Peters who was trying to get him agitated, but also dropped hints that it was "the other guy" referring to one of the Chiefs' defensive backs.

Brown played well against the Chiefs. He made six catches for a total of 108 yards. His exceptional performance may have played a part in why he was targeted by his aggressor after the game.

After the game, Brown streamed the Steelers' post-game celebration on Facebook Live. The stream also included coach Mike Tomlin's message to his players after their triumph. While he certainly did not mean any harm in broadcasting the happenings in the Steelers' locker room, Tomlin has described Brown's act as selfish, USA Today reported.

Brown has since issued a public apology regarding his Facebook Live broadcast. Now he and the Steelers have to focus their energy on the New England Patriots who they will be facing in the NFL Conference Championships on Jan. 22.

The Steelers could very well make use of the defensive strategy they used against the Chiefs in order to edge out the Patriots. The Steelers have impressed so far in their deep run to the Super Bowl, but this will most definitely be their toughest test yet.
