Sony is rumored to be working on a successor model for Xperia XA Ultra smartphone. Speculations indicate that it will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.

At the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 event held earlier this month, the Japanese tech giant did not introduce new smartphones. Hence, it is pegged to announce new smartphones at MWC 2017 that will be held in February in Barcelona, Spain, Phone Arena reported.

One of the Sony smartphones that is speculated to get unleashed at MWC 2017 is the successor of Sony Xperia XA. Fresh renders of the alleged Sony Xperia XA 2017 edition has surfaced that reveals several details on the design of the smartphone.

Leaked photos suggest that it features a USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and the good old strap hole. The Sony smartphone is expected to be available in color choices like red, purple and navy blue, GSM Arena reported. A slit at the bottom suggests that it may feature stereo speakers.

The leaked renders of Xperia XA 2017 had also surfaced in December 2015. It is expected to measure 145 x 66.8 x 7.99 mm and come with a 5-inch screen. Apart from these details, nothing else has been revealed about the Xperia XA 2017 smartphone.

A Sony smartphone with model number G3221 has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark. The listing is reveals that it will be powered by MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 SoC along with Mali-T880 graphics.

The SoC is expected to be supported by 4 GB of RAM and it is expected to include 64 GB of native storage. The mysterious Sony smartphone will be coming with a full HD display that offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The size of the display is not known yet.

It will be coming with a 23-megapixel rear camera. On the front, it will be featuring a 16-megapixel selfie snapper. It will be delivering Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box experience.

Along with this G321 Sony phone, other rumored devices with model numbers G3112 and G3121 are also pegged to get unveiled at MWC 2017.  One of these devices is expected to be a flagship smartphone.  The MWC 2017 will be held between Feb. 27 to March 2.
