Bangtan Boys, better known as BTS, is now the most valuable boy band among other male idol groups. The seven-member group has retained the number one spot for brand power in the month of January.

Earlier this week, Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation released its brand value index that covers the period of Dec. 13, 2016 until Jan. 14, Koogle TV reported. With a total brand value of 8,895,084, BTS ranked first on the list, pushing EXO to the second spot with only 5,640,921 points.

The thirteen-member group, SEVENTEEN, landed third with a total brand value of 4,012,074. Following them are BIG BANG, BTOB, Shinhwa, INFINITE, VIXX, B2ST, SHINee, Sechskies, B1A4, Block B, WINNER, MONSTA X, Super Junior, B.A.P, TVXQ, JYJ, 2PM, ZE:A, TEEN TOP, 2AM, and F.T. Island.

Consists of Rap Monster, Suga, V, Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook, BTS have continued making a name for themselves in the music industry. Hence, several entertainment companies are reportedly planning their artists' activities and releases carefully to avoid competing with the group's comebacks.

This comes after singer Minwoo, 37, named the group as the male idols who will most likely follow the footsteps of Shinhwa, the longest-running boy band in the Kpop history. In a recent interview with local media, as cited by All Kpop, the veteran singer revealed he visited the group's waiting room in the past and noticed how passionate they were.

Since then, Minwoo believed that the boy band would do well and they actually did. He reiterated how proud he was of them, adding that it is the first time he felt that way about a hoobae (junior) group since 2PM.

Currently, BTS is busy gearing up for their upcoming concert tour in the United States. Titled "2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III - The Wings Tour," the highly-anticipated event will kick off on March 23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will then be followed on March 29, at the Allstate Arena and on April 02 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
