The battle between Irene Belserion and Erza Scarlet has been both intriguing and at the same time, a bit frustrating in the sense that their showdown has featured mostly enchantment rather than old fashion toe-to-toe combat.
Then again, it's very much understandable given the fact Irene is primarily an enchanter, while Erza's offense is suited more for close-counter combat. It's an odd pairing so to speak.
However, things could get a little bit interesting in the upcoming chapter now that Irene has probably reached the point of no return. And based on the spoilers for the next issue, we are about to witness something epic from Erza Scarlet.
'Spoilers for Chapter 518: Masters Enchant'
Irene finally unveils dragon form
This is inevitable. Ever since her revelation that she has become a dragon, it is expected Irene's dragon form will be exposed at some point during her battle with Erza. That moment has apparently arrived.
After her plan to possess Wendy's body backfired, Irene finally realizes that her opponents aren't pushovers so unleashing her ultimate dragon form is necessary to get the job done.
Irene summons power of meteor!
By becoming a full-fledged dragon, Irene has also gained immense power. Running out of option to beat her daughter, Irene comes up with a powerful enchant that enables her to summon a meteor from the sky.
Irene dares Erza to stop the meteor if she can. Erza replies "At some point people started calling me "Titania". Honestly I never cared how are they calling me. But if you are Queen of Dragons, then Queen of Fairies (Titania) doesn't sound bad."
Erza shows determination to stop impending catastrophe
With the meteor approaching, Erza decides to put all her faith on her sword as she attempts to stop the impending despair. Irene is visibly moved by her daughter's resolve, knowing that her action could lead to her death.
