"I've been fortunate in my career to have some success and anything that happens is because the fans react to it, but to be put up against the other artists and come out with one of these is incredible... It's a really big deal to me," ET Online cited the country singer's acceptance speech at the 43rd People's Choice Awards.

He, of course, did not forget to mention his girlfriend in the speech whom he teased about the upcoming Valentine's Day.

"I think she knows it's going to be Valentine's Day, so I can't really surprise her with that... I'm one of those guys that's always last minute I'm not good at planning surprises when it comes to Valentine's Day, but we'll definitely celebrate," Shelton added.

In addition to being awarded, he also performed his latest romantic single "Every Time I Hear That Song" at the 43rd People's Choice Awards.
