Kate Mara and Jamie Bell are preparing to tie the knot as the couple got engaged earlier this week, the actress' rep confirmed.
Mara broke the news when she shared a photo of herself on Twitter wearing a shiny ring with a huge diamond on top. Although she did not particularly mention engagement news, it was clear that she was sporting a wedding ring.
Kate Mara and Jamie Bell met on the set of "Fantastic Four" in 2014 where they starred alongside Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. According to news.com.au, dating rumors began to circulate the couple when they were spotted holding hands at the 2015 Met Gala.
The couple did not immediately confirm their relationship, although it became more and more evident as they were spotted packing on the PDA several times on different occasions.
In an interview with Elle, the British actor said that he is "terrible with girls." "I guess that is an English thing-to not be as forward or as aggressive. I'm hoping that it comes across as charming versus lame," the actor explained.
However, despite his tendencies, Bell admitted that he likes having someone in his life. "I'm not particularly good by myself, either," Bell said. "I enjoy having someone."
Bell was previously married to "Westworld" star Evan Rachel Wood. According to The Daily Mail, they separated in 2014 after just 19 months of marriage but have a young son. The exes remain on good terms, with Wood referring to him as the "love of her life" with whom she will always share a special bond because of their son.
On the other hand, Mara was previously linked to Charlie Cox, Max Minghella and McG.
Kate is not the only Mara sibling who was a blooming love life. Her sister Rooney Mara is reportedly dating actor Joaquin Phoenix after "they found love on the set" of the upcoming movie "Mary Magdalene."
According to reports, Rooney and Joaquin are so in love with one another that they skipped the 2017 Golden Globes to spend time together. Rooney's film "Lion" was nominated for four awards.
