If latest reports are anything to go by, the search giant Google has said that it will indefinitely extend the Project Fi referral program.

To attract consumers, the company came up with the referral program in December that enabled consumers of Project Fi to refer it to someone new.

Project Fi provides wireless phone and data services using cellular and Wi-Fi networks belonging to U.S. Cellular, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Originally, the referral program was planned to be valid till January, 11. But several users can access the referral pages with the sign-up option still showing active.

According to a 9to5Google report, the software company had extended the program. The Project Fi referral program date has been increased for an unspecified period of time due to immense response from the consumers.

However, it is important to note that the tech giant can withdraw the referral program at any point of time if it wants. But some reports suggest that it is unlikely that Google will end the referral program soon.

People availing the plan need to pay their bills at the beginning of every billing cycle with $20 a month for unlimited messaging and voice.

The additional and unused data is priced at $10 for 1 GB. If consumers fail to use their 1 GB of data then it gets credited in their next invoice.

Each consumer is provided with a unique referral code that appears at the bottom of their Fi app.

Also, consumers can get access to it straight from the website. The page keeps a record of the number of enrolled users together with the total amount that the consumer has received. In addition, the eligibility for the forthcoming credits is evaluated.

The referee as well as the referrer receive a credit bonus of $20 with each new signing. It is important to note that there are particular conditions attached that include a maximum of 10 referral credits for every consumer.

The new subscriber is needed to keep the account active for 30 days with a payment of 2 months of service. Furthermore, both of them are needed to have an active Project Fi account that requires to be in good shape.

It is recommended that users should check each other's names, referral status, purchase and the account activation status prior to sharing the codes.

Project Fi is compatible with data-only devices and tablets; however, the phone service will need a Google Pixel, Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X.

Meanwhile, recently, several users have been reporting Bluetooth connectivity problems in cars with the Android 7.1.1 N update that was rolled out on Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel devices in 2016.

However, this problem has now been fixed by the search giant Google, which the company is planning to roll out in a FutureRelease, Phandroid reported.
