Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will definitely happen as the company's own mobile chief D.J. Koh confirmed the plans. The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco has left the company in a bad place with its customers but they intend to change the public's perspective.

Speculations regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs have been circling the Internet but there has been no confirmation of its existence until now. Many also believed that the South Korean tech giant will end the Note line because of the whole Galaxy Note 7 debacle which involved several reports of the phablets flaming up and harming users.

Koh told CNET that he will be delivering a "better, safer" Galaxy Note 8 model in the near future. Even with the bad publicity, the company believes that it still has a loyal Note fanbase. In fact, there are still some stubborn customers who are not returning their Note 7 devices to carriers and authorized stores despite repeated warnings.

Part of the reason why the Note line was successful are its top-notch specs compared to other phablets in the market. The Galaxy Note 8 specs may include a 4K screen with the same Iris scanner that was used in its predecessor. Unfortunately, there has been no confirmation yet as to when the phablet will be revealed to the public.

There are over 10,000 Samsung customers that have signed up to be informed when the Galaxy note 8 will be released, BGR reported. Samsung US division president Tim Baxter said in the same interview that their customers "made it clear" that they want a new device in the Note line.

With the delay of the Galaxy S8 and its absence in the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 affair in Barcelona, it is highly possible that the Galaxy Note 8 specs and release date reveal will also be moved. Samsung may hold their own press event towards the end of the year.
