NBA trade rumors are swirling and a lot of notable names have been mentioned. The list includes a semi-retired Chris Bosh, Reggie Jackson, and Ricky Rubio, with more expected to follow before the Feb. 23 deadline.

The surprise name in the mix is Chris Bosh. After failing to secure medical clearance, the 32-year-old forward has suddenly drawn interest from the Chicago Bulls. Bosh was left out due to his blood clot issues but may get a new lease on life with the Bulls. It also gives him the chance to team up with former buddy Dwyane Wade if he secures medical clearance.

Before that can happen, Bosh needs to be waived by the Miami Heat. The Bulls are interested in getting the all-star forward in the event that he is waived according to a report from ESPN. A problem to all that is word that Bosh may only be available starting Mar. 1 – a move that would make him ineligible for the NBA playoffs.

Other than Bosh, there is the celebrated Ricky Rubio for Reggie Jackson swap that cropped up late last week. The Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping the Spaniard and reports had it that they were in discussions with the Detroit Pistons.

This was where the name of Reggie Jackson suddenly came in. The Pistons have been struggling despite the return of the 26-year-old from a knee injury. Expectedly struggling, many were under the impression that the Pistons would part with Jackson who is just in the second year of his $80 million five-year deal.

Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy made it clear that they were not dealing away Jackson. In fact, Van Gundy personally texted Jackson and told him that they were keeping him in another report from ESPN.

This means that Rubio is still available and more teams may inquire in the coming weeks. The Spaniard found himself dispensable with the drafting of rookie Kris Dunn. There are several teams that could pick him up like the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers or the Los Angeles Clippers though no formal offers have been made as of to date.
