After the successful release of Huawei's sub-brand Honor 8 smartphone, a new smartphone is being prepared by the Chinese tech maker after it was spotted on the Chinese telecommunications regulatory authority TENAA. The said listing revealed vital information on the device's specs, design, and features.

Huawei may be working on Honor 8's successor after several leaks online unveil a new smartphone, which carries specifications that could be an improved version of the original Honor 8.

Bearing the model number of DUK-TL30, the device sports a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD display with 2560 X 1440 pixels resolution, BGR reported. Its internal chassis is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.4 Ghz, 6GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The TENAA listing even showed image renders of the Huawei DUK-TL30's physical design. The leak images confirmed a dual-camera setup sitting at the phone's rear panel, which comprises 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras, The Mobile Indian reported.

Like the Honor 8, the upcoming Huawei DUK-TL30 includes a fingerprint sensor placed at the rear panel. Its battery capacity brings a hefty 3,900mAh battery, while its software runs on Android 7.0 Nougat firmware. The smartphone measures 157 × 77.5 × 6.97mm and weighs 184 grams.

With the MWC 2017 event drawing near, consumers can expect more upcoming information regarding the Huawei DUK-TL30 smartphone, along with its confirmed name, release date and pricing.

On another note, the original Honor 8 features a smaller display of 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by Huawei's Kirin 950 octa-core processor built on 16nm architecture, alongside a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.

On its optics department, the smartphone also displays a dual-camera module with two 12-megapixel camera sensors at the back, coupled with extra features such as aperture of f/2.2 and pixel size of 1.76-micron. Up front, the Honor 8 packs an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with aperture f/2.4 for selfies and video calling.

Its connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC and Bluetooth. The smartphone offers a new USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It houses a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology (9V/2A) that can boost charging from 0-47 percent in 30 minutes.
