A lot of Marvel titles are getting picked up either for a movie or television adaptation. Consequently, a lot of actors want in on the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe and with a number of characters on Marvel's stable, there is bound to be one perfect for a particular star. Marvel's "The Inhumans" is one of the comics that is being tabled for a live-action adaptation, but there is uncertainty as to which platform it is going to take.

Following reports of ABC working on a "The Inhumans" TV series, there are also rumblings that a separate movie could make its way into the MCU. Actor Vin Diesel, who appears to be attached to the project for some time, expressed his interest in pursuing that plan with Marvel.

"The Inhumans" was initially planned to be an eight-part ABC series that would be released through IMAX before it hits TV screens, according to The Hollywood Report. "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn, however, clarified that Diesel is not interested in a small-screen role. Diesel is reportedly attached to take on the role of Black Bolt.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Diesel shared his thoughts on "The Inhumans," saying the material would be better served by a movie instead of a TV series.

"I think Marvel should never-I don't think Marvel should abandon their opportunity to make a film out of it. I think it could be a huge, huge saga, and if I had more time I would go over to Marvel and have that very conversation," Diesel said. "But I think it would be a big mistake for Marvel to abandon their ambitions or their objective or their goals of making it into a film, because it would make such a cool universe."

Diesel is already part of the MCU as Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy."

So far, Marvel's "The Inhumans" is set to be showrun by Scott Buck for ABC. The first two episodes have been set for a September 2017 IMAX premiere, with Roel Reine attached to direct the first two episodes. No casting news have been confirmed for the series as of yet.
